Scout Finch, who is a very curious girl wonders why people don't believe his case. Scouts father says that some people make quick judgements because of their ethnicity. scout then asked her father if he believed his client and her father said yes.
This book also made me rethink my perspective on society. One reason why this book made me rethink my overall perspective on society has to do with on character whose name is Boo Radley. The story behind this man is that he supposedly killed his family. However, this man is greatly misunderstood. "Jem gave a reasonable description of Boo: Boo was about six-and-a-half feet tall, judging from his tracks; he dined on raw squirrels and any cats he could catch, that's why his hands were bloodstained—if you ate an animal raw, you could never wash the blood off. There was a long jagged scar that ran across his face; what teeth he had were yellow and rotten; his eyes popped, and he drooled most of the time."
This quote from the book shows that Jem thinks that Boo is a dangerous man. This quote also says that Jem judges Boo by his appearance. Scout and Jem (Scout Finche's brother) are always daring each other to see who can get the closest to his house; which is across the street from them. Scout and Jem think that this man is dangerous, although he ends up saving them in the end when they are attacked. So, overall, the myth about Boo Radley is untrue (in the end of the book Atticus reveals that Boo's real name is Arthur Radley).
This book changed my perspective on society because it taught me that you should never be so quick to judge someone by appearance because they might end you who you would least expect them to be.
Very good job! This is very elaborate and presents good ideas.
